The Leisurecraft TimberGlow 14 Wood Burning Sauna Heater is a heavy-duty, Canadian-crafted wood stove engineered for authentic off-grid sauna performance, exceptional durability, and classic wood-fired thermal power. Manufactured in Canada by Dundalk Leisurecraft, the TimberGlow combines timeless rustic aesthetics with robust structural engineering to serve as the heart of your outdoor sauna.
Constructed with a rugged firebox fabricated from heavy 3/16" thick steel, the TimberGlow 14 easily accommodates standard 16" split logs to deliver powerful, steady heat output. An expansive stone compartment holds up to 200 lbs of sauna rocks, acting as a massive thermal battery that absorbs direct wood heat and produces soothing, continuous radiant warmth and rich löyly steam when water is ladled over the rocks. Designed for maximum layout versatility, it features a 4-1/2" chimney outlet positioned at the top of the unit that can vent straight up through the roof or route out through a back or side wall using an elbow, while a ceramic glass viewing door allows you to enjoy the natural firelight ambiance inside the hot room.
Important Shipping Notice: When purchased together with any Dundalk Leisurecraft sauna cabin or barrel kit, this heater ships free bundled directly inside the sauna's primary freight crate. If this heater is bought singularly as an individual standalone unit without a sauna, a flat $350 freight shipping fee will be applied at checkout to cover dedicated carrier handling and cross-border transport.

-
Initial Paint-Curing Burn: Conduct an initial test burn outdoors with seasoned split wood before permanently operating the heater inside your sauna cabin. This cures the heat-resistant steel coating and safely dissipates factory manufacturing oils.
-
Non-Combustible Hearth & Clearances: Install the stove on an approved, non-combustible base (such as a masonry pad or certified steel hearth floor plate). Maintain strictly verified minimum clearances to combustible walls: 6" side, 10" back, 36" front, and 44" top clearance.
-
Stone Washing & Packing: Thoroughly rinse all sauna stones with clean tap water before loading to remove quarried dust and mineral sediment. Place larger rocks loosely across the bottom and around the steel firebox sides, layering medium-to-smaller stones toward the top. Pack stones loosely to ensure natural convective airflow circulates freely around the firebox; never force or tightly wedge stones.
-
Firewood Selection: Burn only dry, seasoned, untreated natural firewood (up to 16" in length). Never burn pressure-treated lumber, painted wood, driftwood, trash, or charcoal, as extreme localized heat or toxic chemical fumes can warp the firebox and create safety hazards.
-
Ash Drawer & Air Intake Care: Allow the stove to cool completely before removing ashes. Empty the ash drawer regularly to ensure proper combustion airflow draws freely through the bottom fire grate. Store cooled ashes exclusively in a covered, fireproof metal container.
-
Chimney Sweeping & Flue Inspection: Inspect the chimney connection, elbows, and insulated flue pipe regularly for soot and creosote buildup. Have the chimney swept at regular intervals to maintain proper drafting and eliminate chimney fire risks.
-
Glass & Steel Wipe-Down: Clean the ceramic firebox viewing glass once fully cold using a damp cloth dipped in fine wood ash or an approved stove glass cleaner. Wipe down exterior steel panels with a clean, dry microfiber cloth. Never splash cold water onto the viewing glass while the stove is fired.
-
Löyly Application: Ladle clean, fresh domestic tap water gently over the top rocks using a wooden sauna ladle. Never use chlorinated pool water, spa water, or salt water, as corrosive chemicals deteriorate the steel firebox and stone basket.
-
Manufacturer Warranty: The Leisurecraft TimberGlow 14 Wood Burning Sauna Heater carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty directly through Dundalk Leisurecraft (covering structural fabrication and material defects under standard residential use).
-
Warranty Exclusions: Consumable wear components—specifically the glass viewing door, ash grate, deflector plates, and sauna stones—are excluded from warranty protection. Damage caused by burning unapproved fuels, failure to conduct outdoor curing, lack of an approved non-combustible floor foundation, uncertified chimney installations, or violation of combustible clearance minimums voids warranty coverage.
-
Order Modifications & Cancellations: Orders canceled or modified within 14 days of placement are processed free of charge. Cancellations requested after 14 days or once the unit enters crating and carrier dispatch are subject to a $350 administrative/order adjustment fee.
-
Return Policy: Due to carrier freight logistics, heavy freight classification (100+ lbs), and cross-border transport regulations, freight units are generally non-returnable. If an authorized return is approved in writing by the manufacturer, the customer is responsible for 100% of return freight shipping charges back to the manufacturing facility plus a 20% restocking fee. Units must be completely unfired, uninstalled, and secured in their original packaging.
-
Transit Damage Protocol: Thoroughly inspect the freight packaging and crate upon arrival. Note any visible carton tears, pallet damage, or punctures directly on the carrier’s Bill of Lading (BOL) and report missing or damaged components within 30 days of delivery for complimentary factory replacement parts.
-
