Shipping & Assembly

Pre-Delivery & Site Placement

  • Fully Assembled Delivery: The Flow Cold Plunge arrives fully assembled from the factory. No structural carpentry, panel fastening, or liner installation is required.

  • Foundation Requirements: Must be positioned on a firm, flat, and completely level foundation capable of supporting heavy static weight (over 1,500 lbs once filled with water and an occupant). Recommended bases include a poured concrete slab, reinforced outdoor patio deck, or compacted interlock pavers.

  • Electrical & Water Hookup: Locate your plunge within reach of a standard water source (garden hose for filling and draining) and a dedicated GFCI electrical outlet for the chiller system. Never route electrical cords across pooling water.

Freight Shipping & Curbside Offloading

  • Packaged Freight Profile: Ships secured and banded on a dedicated heavy-duty pallet/crate.

    • Packaged Freight Weight: 575 lbs (261 kg).

  • Curbside Liftgate Delivery: Standard curbside freight delivery is handled via commercial freight carrier equipped with a hydraulic tailgate lift. The driver lowers the pallet directly from the truck bed to curbside or driveway access.

  • Delivery Scheduling: The regional freight terminal calls in advance to coordinate a mandatory delivery appointment window.

  • Arrival Inspection: Inspect all external packaging prior to signing carrier paperwork. If external carton damage, tears, or scuffs are visible, sign the Bill of Lading (BOL) as "Crate arrived damaged – Possible Hidden Damage" and take clear photos.

Care & Maintenance

Before Each Use

  • Confirm the water appears clear, clean, and free of odors.

  • Skim off any surface leaves, insects, or loose outdoor debris.

  • Verify water temperature prior to entering.

  • Check that access steps and surrounding decking areas are dry and free from slipping hazards.

  • If operating with a chiller, ensure water is actively circulating and chiller air intake/exhaust louvers are completely unobstructed.

  • Inspect power cords to ensure electrical plugs are dry and not sitting in water.

Day-to-Day Operation & Water Hygiene

  • Cover Usage: Keep the insulated cover securely in place when not in use to retain chilled temperatures, save electrical efficiency, and prevent leaves or airborne contaminants from entering.

  • Surface Cleaning: Wipe down the top cedar edge and high-contact rim areas as needed with a soft microfiber cloth.

  • Continuous Circulation: Leisurecraft recommends continuous chiller circulation under normal ambient conditions to maintain filtration and temperature stability. Ensure the chiller cabinet remains shaded and well-ventilated during peak summer heat.

  • Sanitization: Follow all instructions supplied with your selected water sanitizer or ozone/UV water-treatment system. Never mix incompatible pool or spa chemicals.

Filter Maintenance

  • Inspect reusable pre-filters and inline sediment cartridges weekly, especially during frequent use.

  • Rinse reusable mesh filters with clean tap water as required.

  • Leisurecraft recommends inspecting filter cartridges every 1–2 weeks and replacing them approximately every 1–3 months (monthly replacement is optimal for high daily usage).

  • If circulation flow visibly decreases, inspect filter lines, hoses, and intake strainers for restrictions.

Draining, Cleaning & Refilling

  1. Turn off and completely disconnect power to the water chiller.

  2. Drain the water from the tub and chiller line.

  3. Remove and inspect or replace the filter cartridge.

  4. Clean the interior stainless steel using warm water and a mild non-abrasive soap or diluted white vinegar with a soft cloth or non-scratch sponge.

  5. Rinse thoroughly to ensure no cleaning agent residue remains.

  6. Refill with fresh municipal water using a clean garden hose.

  7. Purge air lines and restart the chiller according to standard startup instructions. (For residential use, Leisurecraft recommends a complete baseline drain, deep clean, and refill once per month, adjusted according to bather frequency).

Exterior Cedar Care

  • Wash exterior cedar cladding periodically using warm water and mild soap.

  • The natural Canadian cedar can be left untreated to develop an organic silver-gray patina, or treated with a breathable exterior wood finish (Leisurecraft recommends Livos exterior finishes) to preserve original wood coloration.

  • Never use high-pressure washers, bleach, or harsh scouring chemicals on cedar surfaces.

Winter & Freezing Weather Management

  • Trapped, freezing water will cause severe mechanical damage to chillers, heat exchangers, pumps, and plumbing lines.

  • When ambient temperatures drop toward freezing (32°F / 0°C), verify the operating limits of your specific chiller model.

  • If the plunge will not be actively heated or operated throughout sub-zero winter periods, completely drain the tub, internal chiller lines, hoses, and filter housings.

  • Disconnect and store the chiller unit in a dry, temperature-controlled indoor location for winter protection.

Materials
  • 304 Commercial Stainless Steel Interior: Provides a non-porous, rust-proof, and stain-resistant bathing basin that does not crack, blister, or absorb oils. Offers superior antimicrobial hygiene and effortless wipe-down cleaning.

  • 100% Sustainable Canadian Cedar Cladding: Milled from certified sustainable lumber mills in Ontario and British Columbia. Rich in natural thujaplicins and cedar oils that naturally repel fungal decay, rot, and wood-boring insects without toxic pressure chemicals.

  • Concealed Cabinet Enclosure: Heavy-gauge cedar casing with integrated ventilation channels that house and protect the filtration pump and chiller system from direct sun, rain, and snow.

  • Marine-Grade Hardware: Built with corrosion-resistant exterior fasteners and plumbing fittings designed for permanent exposure to moisture and cold environments.

    • A 20% restocking fee deducted from the refund.

    • The customer is responsible for 100% of return freight shipping and transit fees back to the manufacturing facility.

  • Parts Replacement Only: Warranty coverage is strictly limited to the supply of replacement parts at no cost; installation, labor, removal, and technician fees are expressly excluded.

  • Electrician Requirement: All electrical connections (heaters, controls, chillers) must be completed by a licensed electrician; failure to provide proof of licensed installation voids electrical warranty coverage.

Leisurecraft Shipping Policy

Shipping Rates & Service Areas

  • Contiguous United States: Free standard freight shipping is available for eligible saunas (minimum order $3,500) and outdoor furniture (minimum order $2,000).

  • Small Items & Accessories: Standalone accessory orders carry a flat shipping rate of $55.

  • Alaska, Hawaii & Remote Locations: Shipping is not covered under standard free freight; custom freight quotes are required prior to dispatch. Remote regions, limited-access routes, and island deliveries may incur additional carrier surcharges.

  • Cross-Border Clearance: Shipments originating from Canadian manufacturing facilities include all standard customs clearance and border handling.

Freight Delivery & Curbside Details

  • Curbside Delivery Only: Freight shipments are delivered strictly to the curbside or the end of your driveway via standard commercial freight carriers (typically 53-foot 18-wheel tractor-trailers). Drivers do not bring crates into driveways, backyards, or homes, nor do they assist with unpackaging or assembly.

  • Site Accessibility: Customers must verify that a full-sized 18-wheel semi-truck can legally and safely access the street, reach the property, and turn around.

  • Delivery Appointments: The freight carrier contacts the consignee prior to delivery to schedule an appointment window. A timely response is mandatory to prevent carrier holding penalties.

  • Delivery Delays & Storage Fees: If delivery is delayed due to an unresponsive recipient, inability to unload, or scheduling conflicts, terminal storage charges of $35 per day will be assessed and billed to the customer.

Unloading Responsibilities & Liftgate Policy

  • Crates 84 Inches or Shorter: Liftgate service is generally available to lower the crate from the truck bed to curbside level.

  • Crates Exceeding 84 Inches: Standard liftgates cannot accommodate crates over 7 feet long. Customers are solely responsible for offloading the crate from the truck bed.

  • Required Offloading Arrangements: For oversized crates, the customer must arrange one of the following prior to delivery:

    • A forklift or mechanical loader equipped with forklift fork extensions, lifting strictly from the crate end.

    • A local tilt flatbed tow-truck service to transfer the crate from the carrier's regional freight terminal to your driveway. (Factory-assisted tilt tow-truck arrangements incur a standard $1,450 fee).

    • A capable crew on-site to de-crate or lift components individually from the truck bed within the carrier’s allotted delivery window.

Delivery Address Changes

  • Prior to Dispatch: Address adjustments submitted before an order leaves the manufacturing facility are processed at no additional cost.

  • After Dispatch / In-Transit: Rerouting or altering the destination address once the crate has left the factory incurs a mandatory $350 carrier rerouting fee.

Damage, Shortages & Freight Return Protocol

  • Crate Inspection at Curbside: All packaging must be thoroughly inspected before signing carrier paperwork.

  • Visible Damage on Arrival: If external damage, crushed corners, or open packaging is observed, you must accept the delivery and write:

"Crate arrived open/damaged – Possible Hidden Damage" clearly on the driver’s Bill of Lading (BOL).

  • Reporting Window: Detailed photos of the packaging, labels, and all damaged parts must be submitted to customer support within 30 days of receipt to qualify for no-charge component replacements under the shipping warranty.

  • Unauthorized Refusals: Deliveries refused without written authorization will be classified as a rejected delivery. Refused shipments are subject to a 15% restocking fee plus all applicable return freight, storage, and reconsignment costs.
